Update -- FTI memory issue

UPDATE: Discussed the suggestions, as there have also been intermittent GTR search memory errors this issue was monitored for a few months and because the impact of the errors was low it was decided to wait for the R9 upgrade. (Since the upgrade the errors have not recurred.)
Thanks TomOC, sorry I forgot to reply to your excellent suggestions earlier.
